A Blogging Rookie here, but never too old to learn!
My purpose in blogging is to showcase some of my artwork, to get myself writing about it regularly, and to bring glory to the Lord - who has graciously touched my life in many amazing ways.

About Me

Jennifer Oakley-Delaplante: I am a full time artist - and STILL there is somehow not enough time for me to paint all that I would like. I show my work in two galleries in Northern Michigan: the Main Street Gallery, in Leland, and The Knox Galleries, in Harbor Springs. This year, I also have some work traveling in a national exhibit called America's Parks Encore Exhibit. I paint mainly in Oil, but also use acrylic and watercolor. I paint portraits quite a bit, but a good portion of my work is Land or Sea Scapes. I love to paint the water in all of its situations, and so my focus is on the Lake Michigan shoreline of Leelanau County. Here I find a never ending supply of inspiring scenes to paint. I am so blessed to live in such a lovely place, and one that so many come to on vacation, but then have to leave. So it is a joy to me to capture this beautiful land on canvas. Hopefully, many of those who fall in love with Leelanau will take a piece of it home with them, in one or two of my paintings.
